It's nearly impossible to get any closer to the water than Sea Bright is. In fact, the only time this town isn't smack on the water is when some of its roads are underneath the water. When very heavy rains come, it's not unusual for the Atlantic Ocean and the Navesink River to virtually merge as waves surge over the sea wall.
